Architectural Drafter

About the Opportunity:
We're partnering with a highly respected, design-focused residential builder to find an Architectural Drafter with a passion for custom home design and detail. This is a full-time, on-site role where you’ll play a key part in turning high-end design concepts into full Construction Document Sets for build-out.
This company is known for timeless architectural style, quality craftsmanship, and a hands-on, collaborative team environment.
What You'll Do:
- Create and assemble full Construction Document (CD) Sets, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and details.
- Draft and model in AutoCAD and/or Sketchup.
- Collaborate with architects, designers, and project managers to refine layouts and incorporate design revisions.
- Ensure all drawings meet local code requirements, zoning, and industry standards.
- Maintain drawing templates, libraries, and file organization.
- Participate in internal reviews, site-specific revisions, and as-built updates.
Job Requirements
What We’re Looking For:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Drafting, Architecture, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in architectural drafting; custom residential preferred.
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD; experience with Sketchup is a plus.
- Ability to independently prepare comprehensive Construction Document Sets.
- Familiarity with residential construction methods, codes, and terminology.
- High attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.
- A team-first mindset and interest in quality, timeless design.

Hired in 2013, Mark Gawronski serves as the Director of Training and a Senior Employment Consultant for AllianceStaff. Mark started his career in recruiting immediately following his college career at UW-Whitewater where he graduated with his Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism Advertising and participated on their nationally ranked football team. He is a high energy leader with a skill to connect and build relationships. His ultimate goal is to develop more of a partnership, where he is an extension to the search, both on the company and candidate side. Mark is CPC certified by the National Association of Personnel Services and also participates on the Board of Directors for our state association, Recruiters of Wisconsin.
Mark is a family man and loves spending quality time with his wife and three kids. In his free time, Mark enjoys playing golf, following his favorite sports teams (The Green Bay Packers and the Whitewater Warhawks) and doing DIY projects.
