Job Description
Our client a small practice with less than 25 employees is looking for a reliable individual to join their work family! They have been practicing in the Waukesha community for over 40 years and are continuing to grow!
First shift - Monday-Friday
- Coordinates scheduling of surgeries, procedures, and tests for 10 surgeons at multiple locations.
- This includes but is not limited to, calling, faxing, contacting facilities, providing necessary scheduling information, ensuring special equipment, coordinating and confirming schedules.
- Rescheduling/adjusting surgery time for emergencies or other unanticipated events.
- Assures all necessary requirements for surgery are met, including patient's history, physical, and ancillary testing results to assure timely completion prior to procedure.
- Provides general information and education regarding pre- and post-operative care with patient and/or family members.
- Adds surgeries to prior authorization WQ for other staff to get approval.
- Other duties assigned by Practice Manager if needed may include some of the following: prior authorizing surgeries or imaging, answering patient phone calls and assisting with scheduling office visits.
Job Requirements
- Ability to provide good customer service and multi-task on a regular basis.
- Strong ability to prioritize workflow.
- Strong verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to pay close attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to sit majority of the workday.
- Proficient computer and keyboarding skills.
