Job Description
Our client a small practice with less than 25 employees is looking for a reliable individual to join their work family! They have been practicing in the Waukesha community for over 40 years and are continuing to grow!
This job requires the individual to accurately and efficiently code records using ICD-10 and CPT codes to obtain the most accurate data based on documentation. This position requires a strong understanding of Evaluation and Management and general surgery procedures. Epic software experience a plus! Ability to work remote 2-3 days a week!
Job Duties include, but not limited to:
- Accurately and efficiently code records for E/M visits and Surgeries.
- Interprets medical information such as disease or symptoms, and diagnostic descriptions and procedures for a given visit in order to accurately assign and sequence the correct ICD-10 and CPT codes.
- Follow up with multiple providers on coding holds.
- Completes price estimates.
- Assist with provider education.
- Backs up Accounts Receivable department with billing questions and payment plans.
- Other duties assigned by Practice Manager.
Job Requirements
Job Qualifications include, but not limited to:
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to exercise judgment and make decisions.
- Excellent oral and written communication with providers and staff.
- Understanding of healthcare regulations, including HIPAA.
- Strong insurance knowledge.
- Good computer skills.
Position Requirements: CCS, CCSP, CPC, or other related certification.
