Job Description
Our client, a rapidly growing private practice in Waukesha, is looking for a Medical Billing Specialist. This position is a full-time, on-site role with the potential to work from home 1 day. Job Responsibilities:
- Follow up on unpaid claims and resubmit claims as necessary to ensure prompt payment.
- Post payments and adjustments to patient accounts accurately and efficiently.
- Review and resolve billing discrepancies and denials with insurance companies and patients.
- Provide support and assistance to patients regarding billing inquiries and payment options.
- Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team, including physicians and administrative staff, to resolve billing issues and improve billing processes.
- Assist with verifying insurance coverage and benefits.
- Obtain prior authorizations for surgical procedures from insurance companies.
Job Requirements
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and billing processes.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, insurance companies, and other healthcare professionals.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of healthcare compliance regulations, including HIPAA and Medicare billing guidelines.
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and upholding ethical standards in all interactions.
- Excellent customer service to patients, healthcare providers, and insurance representatives.
