Our client, an electrical contracting and engineering firm is growing!

 

If you want to be a part of a successful company and have at least 3 years’ experience in Electrical Estimating in Construction, we would like to connect with you.

 

The successful candidate for this role will prepare cost estimates for large scope electrical projects in industrial, health care, institutional, commercial, or multi-family settings. 

 

How will you contribute to the team?

  • Read, analyze, and interpret bid requests and quotes, technical procedures, specifications, and all documents and drawings for engineered and conceptual projects.
  • Effectively communicate with vendors, customers, and team members.
  • Provide ongoing input for improvement of the estimating database.
  • Responsible for accurate quantity takeoff, according to project deadlines.
  • Responsible for developing cost-effective bills of material, for timely submission to vendors, to meet project deadlines.
  • Ability to design electrical layout of feeders, lighting, branch circuits, and other electrical components.
  • Design and estimate electrical projects up to $2 million.

Job Requirements

  • Self-motivated, goal oriented, and quality driven – capable of working independently with a high level of professionalism
  • Basic electrical and National Electrical Code (NEC) knowledge
  • Minimum of 3 years of electrical estimating experience
  • 2 year technical degree and/or 5 years electrical field experience preferred
  • Experience using Trimble estimation software preferred.
  • Knowledge with Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam preferred
