Our Client proud winners of 2024 Best Places to Work and Future 50 Award Winner is looking to add a Superintendent to their team!  As an employee-owned firm, they take pride in their team members' ability to make a positive impact on the community through their daily work and enjoyment of the construction process.  They offer opportunities that involve coordinating a carpentry team's activities, planning and scheduling tasks, ensuring safety regulation compliance, and overseeing carpentry projects from inception to completion.

Job Responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing construction project’s subcontractors and effectively managing carpenters per the construction timeline provided by the Construction Project Manager.
  • Must be able to self-perform rough and finish carpentry as needed per project
  • Supervise and instruct carpenters and other construction workers
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and building codes
  • Interpret and implement blueprints to ensure project success
  • Address any client concerns or complaints in a professional manner
  • Ensure that all materials, tools, and equipment necessary for the project are available and properly maintained
  • Ordering materials and equipment as required for the project with reference to our procurement department. Coordinate with suppliers to also receive materials
  • Providing quality control for all completed works
  • Willing to travel within a 2-hour radius of the Milwaukee 

Job Requirements

Candidates should have these qualifications:

  • Extreme attention to detail
  • Proven experience as a Carpenter Foreman or a similar supervisory role
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Organized, task-driven, and able to work independently as well as with others
  • Good physical condition / stamina required as general labor will be needed
  • Minimum 5 years foreman experience and 3 years superintendent in the industry
  • Ability to shift tasks at a moment’s notice
  • Proficient in using carpentry tools and equipment
  • Knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, and OSHA guidelines
