Job Description

Our client, a rapidly growing private practice in Waukesha, is looking for a Medical Billing Specialist.  This position is a full-time, on-site role with the potential to work from home 1 day. Job Responsibilities:

  • Follow up on unpaid claims and resubmit claims as necessary to ensure prompt payment.
  • Post payments and adjustments to patient accounts accurately and efficiently.
  • Review and resolve billing discrepancies and denials with insurance companies and patients.
  • Provide support and assistance to patients regarding billing inquiries and payment options.
  • Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team, including physicians and administrative staff, to resolve billing issues and improve billing processes.
  • Assist with verifying insurance coverage and benefits.
  • Obtain prior authorizations for surgical procedures from insurance companies.

Job Requirements

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and billing processes.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, insurance companies, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of healthcare compliance regulations, including HIPAA and Medicare billing guidelines.
  • Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and upholding ethical standards in all interactions.
  • Excellent customer service to patients, healthcare providers, and insurance representatives.
  • EPIC Experience a Plus!!!
